Dense Pack Insuation

Dense pack insulation is a great solution for existing cold walls. The process involves removing siding, drilling holes to gain access into the wall cavity, and filling the cavities with cellulose insulation. Upon completetion the holes are filled, house wrap is repaired, and siding is reinstalled. Being able to install this product through the exterior of the home is one of the main adavantages of chosing dense pack cellulose. It is a non invasive process!

Over time your existing insulation degrades and settles. Adding dense pack cellulose can be done forwalls with existing insulation or completely void of insulation. The product allows your home to be more efficient while maintaining a more comfortable living space and preventing freezing pipes.

What makes dense pack cellulose so effective? Dense pack cellulose for wall cavities is installed in a manner that prevents settling. This is due to the density of the insallation. Additionally, cellulose is a loose fill product that is installed via forced air. This allows it to fill gaps and cracks and push itself heind extisting insulation. It is able to achieve R-13 for 2x4 walls and R-21 for 2x6 walls. Cellulose has a high insulation value and is manufactured with borate making it fire retardant and resistent to mold and insects.

See how its done!

Check out a video of the dense pack cellulose process. This client was having issues with cold walls. After a thermal scan we were able to see major heat loss through the walls, some areas completely void of insulation, and settling throughout the home.
